Sah-wah-dee-kah and hellooo!! I am finally back home, rested, and have thoroughly enjoyed some much needed family time during the holidays. Now I am back in the kitchen and gearing up for the next one- New Years!! This year I'm doing a Thai inspired NYE, (the perfect reason to share my Thai spices asap!) and spending it w/ close friends in LA.

I had such a blast in Thailand w/ my sister!! It was a super fun girls trip (hadn't done that in sooo long). The whirlwind trip started in Hong Kong- we spent 30 jam packed hrs there & I am absolutely dying to go back! The jade market, the ferry, the fooood!!! LOVE! 

Then it was on to Phuket, Thailand to film Giada in Paradise- covered in gorgeous white sands that were so soft....felt like a beach covered in rice flour.  The sunrises were insanely gorgeous! In fact, my sister & I would get up super early just to catch them... a heavenly 15 mins!

The people of Thailand are so warm, so friendly, and so ready to share their culture and history. We had such a great time with them and it’s going to be a beautiful show! 

The trip ended in mountains of Chiang Mai....w/ the gorgeously lush rice patties and thank goodness - cooler weather! The Elephant ride was definitely the highlight of the trip for me... my only wish is that Jade would have been there to ride the Elephants & see them paint! Such artistic and beautiful creatures- a once in a lifetime thing for sure!

The shows Giada in Paradise, Thailand & Monaco will air in 2013 and I can't wait for you to see them both!!!
