On TV

My career start on the Food Network really is a story of love, family and luck. Love because in 2001, my passion for food brought me to FOOD & WINE magazine where I was working as a food stylist – someone who makes the food in the photos look delicious. Family because anyone who knows me is aware of how much I stress the importance of my family in my life but also the important role of family in Italian culture. FOOD & WINE presented me with an opportunity for an article in their February 2002 issue in which I would organize a family dinner in honor of my grandfather, movie producer Dino De Laurentiis. It was from that article that I became lucky. Upon reading the article, Food Network contacted me and invited me to shoot a pilot for them, featuring me and my recipes for Everyday Italian cooking. The rest is… well… history.
